1875 Arabesque Dragon Sterling Spoon Ring
The lines between design eras are blurred with this delightful dragon pattern. Part Celtic scrollwork, part medieval embellishment, and part nouveau framework, this piece is a powerful statement ring. Containing it’s gorgeous original monogram, a calligraphic O which fills the frame perfectly and gives a ring a added geometric look. Another layer of story on top of an already fantastic piece. Definitely an uncommon pattern.
Age: 1875 Arabesque by Wendell Co.
Feel of the ring: larger feel spiral spoon ring - smooth comfortable on the hand.
Sizing options: 7 to 16
Size 9 in the photo. Smaller sizes will further overlap the spiral. And larger sizes will unwrap the spiral.
***Please let me know what ring size you would like in the order notes. Rings are not adjustable by hand, I resize them before shipping***
Metal: Sterling
Oh, If Spoons Could Talk
I love spoon rings. And I love hunting for the most beautiful spoons to make them! Spoon rings are a little wearable piece of history allowing the story to be shared and I love that these ornate beauties get to be enjoyed and not banished to some drawer for decades.
All The rings I make are from the original antique spoons - none are copies or casts. So each ring is not only beautiful in design, but full of indications that it has lived life. Maybe a faded monogram or little wear spots - I enjoy thinking about the places they have been and who might have held them 100 years ago. Each ring is, therefore, truly unique. I have discovered more than one of some of these spoon patterns, so each ring will come with its own character and story, varying slightly on little wear spots and marks - There will not be two that are the same! I put care into the creation of each ring. I put thought into how the ring should best be shaped to frame and display the design of the spoon. I will send pictures of your ring sized to the size you would like before I ship so you can see just how it will arrive!
I hope the ring you choose will be a piece you treasure for generations.
