FAQs

How do I find my ring size?

The best and most accurate way to find your ring size is to be measured at a jewelry shop. To my knowledge, all jewelry shops will size your finger for free. There are also this inexpensive ring sizer if you’d like to always have one on hand. At-home sizing methods (like paper and string methods) are not as accurate because results may vary based on how the measurement was taken. The rings are not adjustable by hand so I do need to know your accurate ring size before I ship your order. Please let me know the size in the order notes when you place your order.

Are the rings adjustable?

No, the rings are not adjustable by hand. I size them using my tools before I ship them to you. Adjusting them by hand can result in damage or weakening the silver. Please let me know your size when you order and I will size your ring before I ship.

Can you make a ring from my own spoon if I send it to you?

I don’t offer custom work at this time. As the sole creator for my business, I end up not having enough time in the day to take on the extra projects, sadly.

Sterling silver or silver plated?

I use spoons made from sterling silver, 800 silver, 830 silver, and 900 silver. Every listing will state what metal was used to make that piece. What’s the difference? Sterling silver is classified as 92.5% pure silver mixed with 7.5% of another metal (used to strengthen the silver). If a piece is listed as sterling, it is .925 silver. If a piece is listed as 800, 830, or 900 silver; these pieces are made with a combination of slightly less silver and more of the base metals.

When will my order ship?

Yes! Just select the correct shipping option for your location when checking out.

Returns

I definitely want you to be pleased with your purchase and to have a piece that you love and enjoy wearing! If you receive your order, and you have any questions or concerns, please email me at LadyForge@live.com or contact me on Instagram at @LadyForge right away! I will make it right for you. As a general rule, I don’t accept returns after 30 days from the order being placed. This is to ensure the quality of all the pieces in my shop. So you can be sure that, even though the treasure you are getting is made from an antique spoon, the ring or necklace you receive will be strong and have as much of the original detail intact as possible!

Can I pick out a spoon from your collection for a ring?

Sure! If you would like to request a few pictures of spoons from my collection to pick from for your ring, I am happy to send pictures of options. The number of emails and orders I have at the time will determine how quickly I am able to respond to these requests. It might take a few days or a few weeks if I have several requests. Email me here to request spoon options.

What’s a Drop?

A drop is when a group of new listings go live (become available) on my website.

I have one main drop a month, which is announced beforehand on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, as well as on the announcement bar at the top of this website. In addition to the main drop, I have small impromptu drops featuring one or two pieces which are announced on social media at random times during the month.

When will you have this pattern available again?

I never know when I will find another spoon of a specific pattern. If you would like to be notified when that pattern will be back in stock, just enter your email into the space provided in any sold-out listing, and you will be notified the moment that pattern is available again.

Are these the original spoons or casts?

Original only! I have a strict no-casting policy so the spoon rings you receive are made from the original spoons. For me, the magic of spoon rings is in the story and history of these wonderfully old pieces. Casts pieces are just lumps of silver to me.

What determines how much you charge for a ring?

The price is determined by the metal, by the age, and also by how rare that pattern is. There are some patterns that are incredibly rare and highly sought-after. These will cost much more than other patterns that are not as old or are a little easier to come by.
