1812 Sheffield Medallion Sterling Spoon Ring

$220.00

This European pattern takes the crown for the oldest pattern in my collection at the moment! Made in 1812 this is one of the first medallion patterns made, with it’s Grecian figure framed and adorned with geometric flourishes.

Companies, including Gorham and Tiffany and Co. Would later use this design as inspiration for their own medallion set later in the 19th century

Age: 1812 Sheffield Medallion

Feel of the ring: medium to larger feel - super smooth and comfortable on the hand.

Sizing options: 7 to 14 (photographed in size 9)

*Please let me know what size you would like in the order notes. The spoon rings are not adjustable by hand. I size to your desired size before I ship out. Larger sizes will unwrap the spiral, smaller size as will further overlap the spiral*

Metal: Sterling

Oh, If Spoons Could Talk

I love spoon rings. And I love hunting for the most beautiful spoons to make them! Spoon rings are a little wearable piece of history allowing the story to be shared and I love that these ornate beauties get to be enjoyed and not banished to some drawer for decades.

All The rings I make are from the original antique spoons - none are copies or casts. So each ring is not only beautiful in design, but full of indications that it has lived life. Maybe a faded monogram or little wear spots - I enjoy thinking about the places they have been and who might have held them 100 years ago. Each ring is, therefore, truly unique. I have discovered more than one of some of these spoon patterns, so each ring will come with its own character and story, varying slightly on little wear spots and marks - There will not be two that are the same! I put care into the creation of each ring. I put thought into how the ring should best be shaped to frame and display the design of the spoon.

I hope the ring you choose will be a piece you treasure for generations.
